The other 'Red Ken'

I was sitting in the chair in the sun on Sunday afternoon enjoying the peace and quiet of the campsite, just 'Chilling' whilst Jayne was off having her "Go Ape" adventures with some friends. But I now severely regret having recourse to a little nap, whilst simultaneously exposing copious amounts of flesh above the waistline and below sock level.

  Tonight, I will be mainly be drinking the Calamine Lotion !

Politically confused

Just so I'm clear...is this gay marriage thing compulsory, or is it still okay for a man to marry a woman?

Jelly Legs

Took the bikes out for a spin yesterday afternoon. We peddled downhill to Ironbridge and sat in the sun outside the Brewery enjoying a couple of beers just watching the river, and the world in general, float by.

Coming home was always going to be uphill and as I shot off up the road in front of Jayne she directed me along a route that differed from our usual easy gradient, this must have been a 1:4, and she was soon off the bike and walking. I carried on for mile after mile of this steep gradient and then turned round to have a blast downhill with the intention of walking back up again with the Good Lady Wife.

She was nowhere in sight so I went to the start of our usual homeward bound route when she rang me. She had taken a short cut and was actually now miles in front of me. However she was convinced that I was in front and put on a spurt, meanwhile knowing I was behind her I took the bit between my teeth and put the effort into catching her, but it took to the Town Park before I did so.

 

Mothballs and Rain !

Just said a tearful goodbye to the shorts & Flip Flops as I put them back in mothballs after their all-too-brief airing this year. Oh well, only six weeks to go before the nights start drawing in again for winter, which coincidently is when I shall be starting the 'Ball Joint Run' and driving the Campermatic to Croatia in search of some SUN.

Beacuse of the shitty weather all the vegetables we have planted are well behind where they should be in terms of growth, but on the plus side, at least it won't all be  ready for harvesting whilst we are away on holiday, and at this rate will last through to Christmas.  Put the Brussel Sprouts on NOW !!

Ask the right question

The question that will be asked in any future EU referendum is "If we asked you which answer you would prefer to give if we had a free and open referendum in which you could participate, would you vote for:-

1)  a question on whether we asked you about being in Europe with a yes or no, 

 or 

 2)  a question about whether you thought leaving the EU was bad for Britain?"
Ask the right question and you get the answer of the Nation.

Good old Google

Pulled my trousers on this morning only to find two white things poking out the bottom as the trousers appear to have shrunk in length. A quick check on Google confirmed said attire to be 'Shorts, most commonly worn during the warmer summer weather', whilst the white things were somewhat splendidly diagnosed as 'legs after a winter hibernation' .
